Survey modified to limit events based on preliminary responses
The planning conundrum: Per person costs for each activity depend on the number of participants and amount of donations offsetting those costs. The revised [based on projected participation as of 10/15/2023] budget guesstimates a single classmate's cost for all proposed activities, excluding overnight rooms at the hotel, to be approximately $170, assuming no donation offsets. Prices cannot be locked in until we have a fairly accurate head count.
WOW!! As of 10/15/2023, $4,430 has been made by 11 fellow classmates to fund the advance deposit requirements and to help offset per person costs for the extra curricular events. We are targeting $5,000 in donations so there is still time, if you have the means to help out. At this time sufficient funds have been advanced to make deposits to secure the hotel and city tour / chartered bus services. Wyandotte Co Lake Hall has already been paid for.

1)
* Do you plan to attend the Sept 11, 2024 casual luncheon gathering at Wyandotte County Park?

No
The time has yet to be determined, but we have reserved the facility for the entire day. A catered lunch is planned but we could add some bocce ball, horseshoes, or cornhole competitions if someone has the equipment and desire to head up the events. If you are interested in heading up that activity, please let us know in the comment section below.
2)
* Will you be bringing a guest?

No
3)
* Do you plan to book a room at the hotel?

No
Great Wolf Lodge [GWL] at State Ave & 435 is extending a block of rooms for $109.99 plus taxes/fees of approx 18% and waiving the standard $34/day resort fee. BUT to get the price reductions, a minimum block of rooms must be guaranteed. It is important to know if the minimum [10 per night for two nights] will be met or exceeded before we sign a contract with them.
4)
Please indicate if you plan to attend the early evening hospitality event at the hotel on Tuesday Sept 10. Food will be served and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.
Sept 10 early evening hospitality with food

Sept 12 morning breakfst hospitality - NO LONGER AN OPTION

Originally 3 hospitality events at the hotel were proposed. One evening and two continental breakfast gatherings. Initial results and current budgeting has narrowed those options to one early evening event on Tuesday September 10.

A local tour guide who grew up in the area of 79th & Leavenworth Road is available to share what's new in KC. After a 2+ hour tour of the city, the bus would offload some at Liberty Memorial [now the upgraded World War I Museum/ Crown Center / Union Station to take advantage of the free new streetcar service to City Market and back. At City Market is the new Arabia Steamboat Museum {amazing!}. The bus could then take others to KCI before returning to Union Station to pick up those still on tour and return them to GWL ... exact schedule TBD. Admission to KCMO museums not included in reunion costs. More details about this activity will be forthcoming if there is enough interest to make it happen.
